5 Most Common Meditation Myths
Before we get any further, we first need to do some myth busting. A lot of people have many different misconceptions about what meditation actually is and how to do it. So let’s debunk some of the most common meditation myths.
Myth #1: You Have to Be a Buddhist to Meditate
Since meditation came from the Ancient East and Buddhist monks were the first one to practice it, many people think that meditation is only reserved for Buddhist and that they need to convert to Buddhism if they want to meditate.
That’s totally not true because you can meditate without knowing anything about Buddhism or following that religion.
Myth #2 Meditation Is Only for Relaxing
When hearing the word meditation, most people envision a person meditating on the beach while waves crash on the shore and everything is so serene and relaxing.
Meditation definitely is very calming, but it can be used for so much more than simply relaxing after a stressful day. You can actually use meditation as a powerful law of attraction technique that can change your life forever, but that’s only possible if you use curated meditations.
Myth #3 Meditation Is Hard
Another thing I often hear is, “Meditation is too hard, I can’t do it.”
That’s just not true. You can learn simple forms of meditation in just a couple of minutes and the rest is just practice. It’s a skill just like learning how to play football or paint. The only difference is that, with meditation, you train your mind, not your body.
Myth #4 You Need to Meditate for Hours to Get the Benefits
The reason why many people hesitate taking up meditation is that they’re under the impression that they need to meditate for hours on end. Don’t get me wrong, it’s great if you can and want to, but it’s not necessary.
Did you know that you can get all of the benefits of law of attraction meditation and become more mindful by meditating for less than 10 minutes a day?
That’s right, you don’t have to sit in that lotus position for 5 hours each day in order for it to work.
Myth #5 Getting Distracted Means You’re Failing at Meditation
If you ever tried meditating for even a couple of minutes, you must’ve noticed that you get distracted by your thoughts pretty quickly. That’s completely normal and happens to everyone. It doesn’t mean that you’re bad at meditating. So don’t stress it, just practice.
Law of Attraction Meditation vs. Traditional Meditation
You might be thinking, “What’s the difference between law of attraction meditation and regular meditation?”
Well, the principle is basically the same. The main difference is that law of attraction meditation is designed specifically to help you with manifesting and other LOA processes that lead to it.
So in traditional meditation techniques, you mostly work on quieting the mind, relaxing, becoming more mindful, and becoming more aware of what’s going on in your body, while in law of attraction meditation, you focus on changing your mindset, visualizing, and focusing on what you want to attract. That’s why there are specific law of attraction meditations for health, money, success, love etc. So for example, if you want to manifest health, you should get meditations that are designed specifically for attracting health.
Top 5 Benefits of Law of Attraction Meditation
Now that we have debunked some common meditation myths, it’s time to go into the benefits of law of attraction meditation.
There are so many positive things that start happening when you meditate that it’s very hard to pick only five.
1. It Reprograms Your Mind
When you’re working on attracting something, you need to go deep into your subconscious and see what’s hiding there. Most people have some kind of core beliefs that are in opposition to what they’re trying to manifest.
Law of attraction is a great way to get more insights into your conscious and subconscious beliefs and reprogram your mind so that you replace some of the limiting beliefs with positive ones.
2. It Promotes Positive Thinking
When you practice law of attraction meditation, you become more aware of your thoughts, which are often negative. But through meditation, you learn how to let go of those negative thoughts and not get caught up in a spiral of negativity.
That, of course, leads to a more positive mindset and mindfulness which is the basis of attracting abundance into your life.
3. It Improves Your Visualization Skills
Law of attraction is all about visualizing your goals. And what better way to become a master of visualization than law of attraction meditation?
As you’re meditating, you are relaxed, focused, and in tune with the Universe which makes your visualizations much more powerful and potent.
4. It Raises Your Vibrational Frequency
If you want to attract a new relationship, your soulmate, a lot of money, wealth, or success, you need to match the vibrational frequency of those things. If you’re depressed, have low self-esteem, and feel very pessimistic, you will not be able to attract good things into your life, just more of the bad stuff.
Law of attraction meditation techniques are the perfect way to raise your vibration to a higher frequency and maintain that positivity for a long, long time. So the first step you should take towards that is to get access to curated meditations and start practicing.
5. It Activates the Law of Attraction
As you raise your energy and improve your visualization skills through meditation, an amazing thing happens. The law of attraction activates.
When you’re practicing law of attraction meditation, you are connected to the Universe and are in tune with mysterious forces that drive it. You get in touch with your spiritual side and everything seems to get better and better exponentially.
Scientific Proof That Meditation Works
A great thing about meditation is that you don’t have to blindly believe that it works and makes your life better. There’s actually an abundance of scientific proof and interesting studies that have been done that show that meditation increases mindfulness and wellbeing while reducing stress and anxiety.
Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction
There’s a huge number of studies that show that Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction helps with many different mental and even physical disorders. It has been found that it reduces anxiety, stress, helps alleviate symptoms of chronic depression and bipolar disorder, treats psychosis, and eating disorders.
Those studies tell us that meditation is a very powerful tool that goes beyond simply relaxing.
Meditation Increases Positive Emotions
The use of fMRI and EEG, which allow scientists to observe what’s going on in the brain during meditation and after meditation, shows that it increases positive emotions while reducing stress, anxiety, and depression. So it’s scientifically proven that meditation allows you to have a better control over your emotions.
Not only that, but studies have shown that meditation increases your attention, focus, and productivity.
How amazing is that?
Guided Meditations vs. Meditating On Your Own
There are two ways you can meditate: using guided meditations or meditating on your own. If you’re using meditations to manifest a specific goal, I recommend that you go with guided meditations. Law of attraction guided meditations are created specifically for this purpose and are much more effective than meditating on your own.
Also, most beginners find it much easier to have a voice that guides them through the meditation. It’s definitely a great way to get familiar with law of attraction meditations and how they work.
If you meditate without any guiding at all, you won’t know what to do and how to focus on what you’re trying to attract. So definitely try some guided law of attraction meditations if you want to get all of the amazing benefits.

How to Meditate?
For all of you beginner meditators and those who want to improve their meditations skills, I have put together a simple meditation guide that will explain the basics like where to do it, how to sit, what to do, and what not to when meditating.
So let’s dive right in!
Where to Meditate?
Let’s be real here, most of us don’t have the luxury to go meditate on a gorgeous sandy beach or on top of a beautiful mountain. So you need to create a place in your home that will be your meditating spot. It should be a private part of the house that’s least noisy. You can even decorate your own little meditation nook to make it more inviting. Add some soft lighting, place a meditation cushion on the floor, and make it nice and cozy.
What Position Should You Meditate In?
Let me tell you right away, no, you don’t have to sit in the lotus position twisted up like a pretzel if that’s too uncomfortable, which it usually is even for more experienced meditators. However, if you want to try it, I suggest using a meditation cushion, it will help.
Now that we got that burning question out of the way, here are some of the poses you can meditate in. You don’t even have to sit on the floor, you can sit on a chair, legs on the ground and your back firmly against the chair. This is the recommended pose for beginners. The only thing you should avoid is lying down when meditating because you’re simply going to fall asleep. Trust me on that.
Eyes Open or Closed?
This comes down to your preference, both works fine. However, if you choose to keep your eyes open, focus your gaze on something instead of looking all around the room.
Focus On Your Breath
The core of all meditation techniques including law of attraction meditation is focusing on your breath. That’s the first thing you should do when you start your meditation session.
Simply become aware of your breath going in and out. That will help you clear your mind and focus more.
What to Do When You Get Distracted?
So you found a great spot for meditation, settled down into your pose, started focusing on your breath and then a torrent of different thoughts washed all over you.
“What should I cook for lunch. Wait, did I get everything that I need from the store? Damn, I forgot to send that important email to my boss. My job is so stressful, I wish I was on vacation. When will have the money for a nice vacation? And of course, bills have to be paid soon. Will I have enough money? Oh wait, I’m supposed to be meditating and focusing on my breath. I’m so bad at meditation, I will never get this right. I just can’t quiet my mind. How do other people do it? I’m probably doing something wrong.”
Sound familiar? That’s how our brain works. One thought pops in our head, and then all hell breaks loose. But don’t worry, that doesn’t mean you’re failing at meditating, everybody experiences this. When you catch yourself thinking and ruminating, simply get back to your breath and repeat this over and over again.
This happens less with guided meditations because the voice you’re listening to helps you concentrate more. So if you’re having trouble with getting distracted all the time, you would benefit a lot from guided law of attraction meditations and some tips on how to get the most out of it.
How to Get the Most Benefits Out of Meditation?
- Meditate every single day, no cheating!
- Meditate for at least 10 minutes a day
- Use guided meditations
- Don’t get discouraged!
Now that you have learned the power of law of attraction meditation techniques, you can finally hone in your manifesting skills and manifest through meditation. You will also notice that meditation makes you more aware of your mind, body, and everyone around you which is definitely a big plus!
